No!That's one of the reasons Scuba Week exists.You can come with a buddy, come with friends, or come by yourself. With scheduled dives, group activities, and dozens of other divers around you, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet people and find others to dive with.

You must be a certified Open Water diver or equivalent to participate in the Scuba Week Bonaire diving activities.Some individual dive sites may have additional experience or certification requirements.

Absolutely.Scuba Week is designed for divers with a wide range of experience levels.You don't need hundreds of dives to enjoy Bonaire. Whether this is your first major dive trip or your fiftieth, you can choose the dives and activities that fit your experience and comfort level.

Welcome back to diving!If it's been a while since your last dive, we want to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy everything Scuba Week Bonaire has to offer.If you haven't been diving within the past 12 months, Scuba Week requires you to complete a PADI ReActivate™ program before participating in our dives.We'll offer the ReActivate program on Sunday, at an additional cost, giving you a chance to refresh your skills before the diving begins. The program is at your own expense.Once you're refreshed and ready to go, it's time to get in the water and start your Scuba Week adventure!

Traveling without a dive buddy? Yes!Your spouse, friend, or travel companion does not need to be a diver to join you.Bonaire has plenty to offer above the surface, and non-diving guests can enjoy the resort, snorkeling, beaches, restaurants, sightseeing, and other island activities while you dive.You get a week of diving.They get a week in Bonaire.And you get to experience the island together.

November is a great time to escape the cold and head to Bonaire.You can expect warm, tropical weather throughout Scuba Week Bonaire, with average daytime temperatures around 84°F and nighttime temperatures around 79°F.The water averages around 82°F, making it comfortable for spending plenty of time underwater.In short: warm air, warm water, tropical sunshine, and excellent diving.

You'll fly into Flamingo International Airport (BON) in Bonaire.We'll provide airport transportation to the resort as part of your Scuba Week package.

We love that your family enjoys scuba diving together! However, Scuba Week Bonaire is an adults-only event, and all attendees must be 18 years of age or older. This age requirement applies even if your child is already scuba certified.

We’re limiting Scuba Week 2027 to 50 divers.We're intentionally starting small so people have a chance to actually meet each other and experience Scuba Week as a community.Future Scuba Weeks may grow, but the first one will always be the first one.

While we don't offer roommate-matching services, you're absolutely welcome to attend Scuba Week Bonaire on your own!You can book a room at the single-occupancy rate or arrange to share a room with someone you know.And if you're worried about not having a dive buddy, don't be! Scuba Week Bonaire is all about bringing divers together.You'll have plenty of opportunities to meet fellow divers, make new friends, and connect with potential dive buddies throughout the week.You might arrive on your own, but that doesn't mean you'll be diving alone!

For safety, we need to keep the training environment as distraction-free as possible, so outside photos during skill sessions aren’t allowed. But don’t worry—we build in plenty of time for fun photos once training dives are complete!

Absolutely! Bring your partner, family member, or best friend. While you're discovering the underwater world, they can soak up the island—beaches, shopping, amazing food, snorkeling, excursions, or just relaxing at the oceanfront hotel. There’s something for everyone.

No experience needed—zero, zip, none! We teach you everything from the ground up. You only need to meet three requirements: You must be able to swim. You must be 18 or older. Not at all. You don’t need to be an athlete—our trips are designed for beginners and we go at a comfortable pace. What you do need is a basic level of health and comfort in the water. In general, you should be able to: Swim (and comfortably float/tread water) Walk short distances carrying light gear with help available Follow safety instructions and communicate clearly with your instructor If you have any medical conditions (or answer “yes” on the scuba medical questionnaire), you may need a doctor’s approval before participating.

Cozumel is known for warm, comfortable water year-round. Water temps typically range from the mid-to-high 70s°F in winter to the low-to-mid 80s°F in summer (roughly 24–29°C depending on the season).
